The 2009 orthophoto is a digital aerial photograph in which displacements due to tilt and relief have been corrected to produce uniform scale and a true representation of the ground. The data capture was contracted out on behalf of the District of Saanich by the CRD to First Base Solutions Inc. (Markam, ONT, CAN) and captured using a Vexcel UltraCam D digital camera. The images were captured over several days in June 2009 at a 10 cm resolution, post processed and loaded into a seamless mosaic and compressed using JPEG2000 (75% compression). It is stored in coordinate system UTM Zone 10 N, NAD83 CSRS Datum. |
