The 2019 orthophoto is a digital aerial photograph in which displacements due to tilt and relief have been corrected to produce uniform scale and a true representation of the ground. The data capture was contracted out on behalf of the District of Saanich by the CRD to McElhanney. The images were captured the first week in July 2019 at a 10 cm resolution using a large format digital photogrammetric camera. Images were post processed and loaded into a seamless raster mosaic compressed using JPEG2000 (75% compression). They are stored in coordinate system UTM Zone 10 N, NAD83 CSRS Datum. |
